Pumpkin Hat Ghost (FREE CROCHET PATTERN)

Hello Everyone! I am very excited to share with you my very own first pattern! Spooky season is right around the corner! That’s why I figured it would be perfect to share with you this cute ghost amigurumi pattern!

Tools Needed


  • 4.0 mm Hook

  • 1 skein Premier Parfait Chunky in color White, Orange, And Brown

  • Stuffing

  • Safety Eyes (Choose whatever size you want. I like to change it up!)

  • Threading needle

  • Thread


Terms

ML= Magic Loop/Magic ring

SC= Single Crochet

INC= Increase

DEC= Decrease

HDC= Half Double Crochet

Sl ST= Slip Stitch


-Entire pattern is formatted in US terms and is worked in a continuous round.

1. 6sc in ML (6)

2. Inc around (12)

3. (Sc, Inc) 6 (18)

Stuff and Place Safety eyes in-between rows 14 and 15


*3 DC, 1 HDC into same St then Sl St into Next St* (Do this all around)


Cut Yarn and weave in end

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing



Arms (Make 2)

  1. 5 Sc in ML (5)

  2. Inc around (10)

Sc around for a total of 4 rounds leaving a long tail for sewing (lightly stuff and attach to body)






Sewing the mouth


-Find where you want to put the mouth and leave a small tail on the end.

-Make a loose smile.

-Bring the thread through the smile three times.

-Then attach it to the ghost (In the middle of the eyes) under just 1 St and go back under the smile just once. (Exactly as show in Picture 4)

-Once attached, Bring the thread through the other side of the smile three more times!

- Then bring the thread out through the same st you first entered in and create a double knot!

-Take your needle and push the two small yarn ends into the ghost.

  1. 6Sc in ML (6)

  3. Sc, Inc (18*

  4. 2Sc, Inc (24)

  5. 3Sc, Inc (30)

  6. 4Sc, Inc (36)

  7. - 8 .Sc around Two rounds total

9. 4Sc, Dec

10. 3Sc, Dec Start stuffing

11. 2Sc, Dec

12. Sc, Dec

13. Dec around leaving a long tail for sewing

Stem- Ch 6, Inc in next St, 4 Sc, Sl St Across (Photos Below)




With your sewing needle, Bring Tail of yarn through the Front Loop Only of all St’s. Then Pull on the yarn end to close off the opening.



Thread the needle through the middle of the pumpkin.

Wrap the yarn around the sides and sew into the middle of the top of the pumpkin. Make sure to Pull tight enough that you can’t see the yarn you just placed down. Do this until you have 8 equal length Bumps all around.

Leave a long tail for sewing.



-Once you Sl St Across, thread the yarn end through the middle

-Weave in the ends and Attach to the top middle of the pumpkin.

- Then Attach the Pumpkin to the top of the Ghost
