How to: Tie a Slipknot

Writer's picture: emilymae051emilymae051

A lot of patterns start off with a slipknot. Here is how to make one.

Step 1: Pick up your yarn and leave a 6-inch tail at the end

Step 2: With the 6 Inch tail make a loop

Step 3: Fold the loop over the longer end of your yarn

Step 4: Push the longer end of yarn through the Loop

Step 5: Pull the yarn all the way through holding both yarn ends.

Step 6: Place your hook in the slipknot going towards the longer yarn end. Pull gently on both ends of yarn. Be careful not to pull too tightly.

And that is how you tie a slipknot! I hope you found this tutorial helpful! If you liked it, please like, comment, and check out my other "How to:" videos! Thank you for reading!
